Ensemble Placement Auditions
Attention University of Arizona Trumpet Players!
The excerpts which we are asking you to prepare for auditions in the fall of 2016 can be accessed at the UA Band Website. These excerpts will be for placement in the three major performing ensembles:Chair placement within the ensembles may change from concert to concert, and some of the ensemble assignments may change for the second semester. As of this writing, the Trumpet auditions are tentatively scheduled to be held on Sunday, August 21, beginning at 12:30pm. Additional playing opportunities are the UA Philharmonic Orchestra and Jazz Ensembles. And, if you think you have the time, I encourage you to become involved in a brass quintet. If, as you prepare for these auditions, you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I will do all I can to help you feel comfortable with these short excerpts. We are already eagerly anticipating the wonderful music-making we'll be involved in next fall - get ready for a great year!
